Medical Support in Ukraine
28nd June 2022
We continue work at Ukrainian frontlines. The range of responsibilities here is rather wide – from going to the operations with military units to minimal medical support of civilian population in the absence of regular healthcare services (oh, and sometimes treating random puppies and kittens, too!) Yet the hardest task here is just waiting for a moment when you are needed.
Friends here joke that they are happy when we, medics, are bored. Yet we try to be ready to go any moment. Right now we don’t have much equipment or a proper car for an ambulance so we DIY a lot. If superior fire is the best treatment than the second best I would say is duct tape.
**MSDN operatives work alongside TDF personnel to conduct rescue operation and first minute care of both military and civilian patient at the frontline of the war. As with all other frontline workers and to be able to conduct this work and not create confusion, the team wears uniforms while performing their duties.**
